It can be hard to give up dairy and wheat because they are very addictive. A high number of the population are intolerant to dairy – me included – so if you have skin allergies one of the first things a lot of people like to do is try giving up dairy for a week and see if it clears up. I used to have awful asthma, hayfever and eczema and I had had them since I was a young child. As soon as I gave up dairy they all cleared up in a very short space of time. A lot of people tolerate raw dairy a lot more easily than processed dairy, so finding a source of raw milk might be something you might want to try after cutting it out of your diet for a short while. Then when you add it back into your diet you will be able to tell if it’s causing a reaction. You can also do the same with wheat. I can now tolerate a small amount of dairy but I can't eat too much of it.
So if you don’t need to lose weight but you do have health issues, I would suggest sticking to The Leaf System exactly for 1-2 weeks and see if you get any relief from your symptoms. Then you can try adding back other foods as snacks and see how your body reacts.
