Drinking these shakes has helped me drop over 56 pounds in just a few months, and pack on 13 pounds of muscle in 6 months while losing fat at the same time.
I have literally created thousands of different natural homemade protein shake recipes and I have whittled down my list to just 39 of them.
These are the recipes I keep making over and over again as they are so tasty and they incorporate different fruit so you can choose the recipes that use the fruit you can get hold of at the moment wherever you live in the world.

Why I Don’t Use Protein Powder In My Protein Shakes
I am a big fan of whole, unprocessed, plant based foods because I have managed to recover from debilitating health problems and lose a lot of weight in the process when I focus my diet on whole foods.
When I start to try out more processed foods such as protein powders, my health starts to decline.
Research has also shown that plant based whole foods provide the best health and prevention of diseases.
It’s also so much easier to lose weight when you eat whole foods because these ingredients are usually high in fiber which fills you up and stops you from feeling hungry.
Avoiding processed, packaged foods also helps you avoid all the chemicals that literally make you addicted to consuming more of these products. Being addicted to food will not give you good results when it comes to weight loss.
So that’s why I don’t use protein powders in my shakes.
My Weight Loss And Muscle Building Results After Drinking Homemade Protein Shakes
But I STILL want to add some natural sources of protein in my smoothies because protein is a necessary building block of bodily functions, and it helps to grow muscles.
Seeing as I’m working on resculping my body at the moment by doing 5 weight training sessions per week, it’s important to me to make sure I’m getting enough protein for muscle building.
And it’s working. After just 6 months of bodybuilding so far, I’ve managed to gain 13 pounds of muscle mass which is just incredible and pretty unheard of growth. During this time my weight has stayed the same which means I’ve lost a lot of fat during this process.
That’s the beauty of building muscle, it helps to burn more fat.
I put my fast results down to my healthy diet which is based solely on plant based whole foods. And also incorporating enough protein from whole food plants in every meal.
I drink a lot of homemade meal replacement protein shakes as I think it is the easiest and fastest way to get all of the nutrients your body needs in one quick, tasty meal.
I have been replacing my breakfast and lunch with these protein shakes for 10 years now, and they have helped me drop 5 dress sizes and also lose my baby weight after both of my babies were born.
Now these shakes help me maintain my weight and provide me with incredible amounts of energy every day with no cravings or hunger between my shake meals.

How To Lose Weight With Homemade High Protein Shakes
So what I suggest is that you replace your breakfast and lunch with one of these whole foods high protein shakes, and then make yourself a whole foods vegan dinner to enjoy at the end of the day.
Of course, calories have to come into the equation if you want to see consistent weight loss, so I suggest you use my calorie calculator to determine how many calories your body needs to lose weight every day.
