Day 8: 30 Days of Christmas Gifts with essential oils: Scented Play Dough

Ingredients

3 Cups Flour
1 1/2 cups Salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 Cups Water
6 drops Christmas Spirit Oil get your therapeutic peppermint essential oil here
6 drops Peppermint essential oil get your therapeutic peppermint essential oil here
6 drops Lemon essential oil get your therapeutic peppermint essential oil here

If you want to colour your dough you can either use natural food colouring or other powders. I used the following:

1 tablespoons of beetroot powder for the pink dough -Christmas Spirit like this
1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder for the yellow one – Lemon
1 tablespoon of green powder for the green one – Peppermint like this

Instructions

Add all of the ingredients apart from the essential oils to a pan and simmer over a low heat while stirring until a dough forms.
kneed until the texture is a dough (1-2 minutes) then divide the recipe into 3.
In 3 different bowls kneed in the colour and the essential oil until mixed through.

Notes

Wrap in plastic wrap. These will keep for 3 months.
