Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Smoothie (Green Smoothie/Green Thickie)

Contrary to popular opinion, it’s actually perfectly safe to eat raw rhubarb. Get all the health benefits of raw rhubarb in this gorgeous strawberry rhubarb pie smoothie.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Non Dairy Milk oat, rice, soya, almond, hemp, coconut drink or raw nut or seed milk
  • 1 Cup Spinach tightly packed or 2 cups loosely packed. Optional (Or any other mild greens)
  • ¼ Cup Pecans If you avoid nuts, you could try sunflower seeds instead
  • 1 Cup Raisins or any other dried fruit which can also be pre-soaked for a smoother blend
  • 1 Cup Oats * Or one cup of Quinoa
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 Cups Raw Rhubarb chopped You could also use frozen or cooked rhubarb
  • 1 Cup Strawberries
  • 1 Banana

Instructions
 

  • Blend the ingredients in the order listed. Blend the milk and greens first then add the rest of the ingredients. Add more water if required to thin it out. Substitute any of the ingredients for whatever you already have. If your smoothie is too warm, you can cool it down in the fridge.
  • NOTE: The calories shown are for half of the ingredients listed as this smoothie serves 2. If you want less calories add less oats.
