Welcome to Healthy Vegan Fridays! This week has been a tough one. My toddler has started picking up regular bugs from the groups that we go to. She usually recovers quickly but this week we’ve had a bad stomach bug and a cold together that has lasted all week. I’m feeling very vulnerable and run down this pregnancy probably due to my low iron, so I’m looking forward to having the baby and not having to share my nutrients anymore. It’s also quite disheartening to feel so run down for such a long time when I’ve been so healthy with my diet this pregnancy. I’ve made pretty much everything from scratch and eaten loads of fruit and vegetables. It’s very hard not to question your diet sometimes and wonder if it’s really the right thing for you. We all have to experiment with our diets and find out what works best for us. There are so many gurus out there that are so convinced they have the healthiest diet but I don’t believe that one size fits all when it comes to diet. Hopefully after the baby is born I’ll start feeling a lot better so I’ll just bide my time until then. I hope you’ve had a great week and I’m looking forward to all your amazing posts again this week.
For those of you who don’t know, Healthy Vegan Fridays is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself, Carrie @ Carrie on Vegan, and Gabby @ The Veggie Nook. Get results like this...
Hi Katherine,I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.
I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!
I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!
I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.
I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.
I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.
I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!
What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.
I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan! Thankful Stephanie

Hello :-)
Love your presentation of the most popular picks – they look awesome. So good in fact that I shared them on FB, twitter and Pinterest :-)
This week I have linked 2 things:
1. My article about the possible side effects of eating Quinoa (including recipes & instructions for making really fluffy quinoa)
2. My latest Green Smoothie – simple, refreshing, low sugar
Ok, not quite a “green thickie”, but you gotta start somewhere, right ;-)
Take care,
Sandra
P.S. Hope you and the littl’un are feeling better soon.
There seem to be some nasty bugs around at the mo, at least down here in rainy Cornwall… It must have been quite full on for you to make fresh meals, run a blog, be a mum and then also host a blog hop event. Respect!!!
