Let me ask you something.

When you start a new diet, how long does it normally take you to give up on it?

Is it a few days?

A week or longer?

Do you know that most people manage to stick to a new diet for five weeks before giving up completely.

That’s actually higher than I thought it was going to be.

Today I’m going to let you know how to make a healthy eating a lifelong practise and something that you are never going to want to give up on.

My name is Katherine Kyle, founder of Green Thickies and the leaf system.

One year after starting the leaf system, which is my real food weight loss system for busy people, I still have a large portion of my original clients.

This is pretty unheard of for most diets where people give up quickly but the difference is that I teach that a diet is a diet for life.

Here is my tip for you today.

Take each day one day at a time.

Don’t look at a diet and wonder when you are going to go back to your normal food again.

See it as a diet for life, a healthy eating plan for life.

Whatever you want to call it, it is a complete healthy change.

It doesn’t mean that you can never have your favourite foods again.

I have two ways that you can still eat what you love and these are:

  1. Find a healthier version of your favourite food using real food and eat it completely free of guilty because it’s actually good for you.
  2. You can practise the 80/20 rule of eating which means you eat what you love or what you want,exactly what you want 20 percent of the time and you eat healthily, still foods that you like, 80 percent of the time.This is a method that I suggest only if you are continuing to get results with it. Sometimes it is possible to eat what you really want 20 percent of the time and still not lose any weight, so just still be sensible with this and don’t see- If 20 percent of the time is two meals a week or however it calculates out, don’t see that as an opportunity to just gorge yourself and eat as much as you can possibly cram in. You still have to just take it quite sensibly if you’re losing weight.
