As much as I love going on holiday, there is one thing that I already dread…
My kids behaviour.
When we’re on the continent, I always feel like our kids are the worst behaved in the world.
They aren’t being rude or defiant, it’s more like hyperactivity.
I used to just say they had too much energy. They are like little jack in a boxes. Everywhere they go they want to be jumping and leaping and squeaking loudly.

I guess it’s often due to excitement of being in a new place.
But it does get embarrassing when we’re in a restaurant and they are being loud and struggling to stay still on their chairs.
It is getting slightly easier, as they get older though, but I still think they could be better behaved. (I’m sure every parent thinks this about their kids).
If you have any resources that have worked well for you, I’d love to hear about them!
It’s probably time I invested more of my time into learning how about my kids behaviour.
I can’t say I have invested much time into it so far, and being really sick for 2 years when they were younger didn’t help in terms of establishing discipline.
So I’m turning over a new leaf now, and I’m going to invest some time into learning more about my kids behaviour so that it makes everything more fun for all of us.
Whatever we are struggling with does need some investment of our time and energy to learn to improve the situation.
Most problems don’t just go away without a bit of effort from us.
It’s just like being overweight.
It’s a big, big problem to have…
And if you leave that problem alone, it very easily gets bigger….
And so do you…
That particular problem requires an investment of time.
At least a few hours a week needs to be invested in weight loss.
You need a bit of time to plan what you are going to eat, and a bit of time to prepare meals.
But not as much time as you think.
Especially if you follow The Leaf System.
You can make all your meals for the day in an hour or less. (Sometimes just a few minutes are needed for all your meals for the entire day, especially if you choose a salad or a soup).

Hi Katherine,I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.
I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!
I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!
I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.
I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.
I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.
I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!
What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.
I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan! Thankful Stephanie
