I get them after I’ve eaten a lot of junk food the day before.
I wake up with a foggy head, a headache, digestion is out of whack, skin has breakouts, bags under my eyes, feeling tired and run down and very very grumpy.
I think we all had a food hangover yesterday as we were all snapping at each other all day for no reason at all. That makes me determined to get back to healthy again as we’re not usually like that.
If you’re in America right now, chances are you might have a food hangover after treating yourself yesterday?

I had a food hangover recently after celebrating my husband’s birthday.
I have a thing about birthdays, I love to celebrate.
And one day never seems like enough, especially when a birthday falls during a working day.
So I like to take celebrations over the weekend.
And it’s nice to celebrate without the kids because then we can properly relax, but also with the kids as they get so excited about birthdays and especially birthday cake!
And on this occasion, we also had family over visiting us, so the birthday celebrations stretched over 4 days.
Which is all fun at the time.
But not so fun when I wake up a few pounds heavier with a food hangover.
We’ve found a lovely restaurant with a beautiful view that is definitely better celebrated without the kids – seeing as we get a chance to actually look peacefully at the scenery for a while.
No more food hangovers and my weight is creeping down again.
