Welcome to Healthy Vegan Fridays Blog Hop! Well my baby is now almost 4 weeks old and his feeding pattern is still a bit crazy. I spend an hour feeding him then after all the burping and nappy changes have been done, I put him to bed, express some more milk for his next feed and before long he’s awake hungry again and the cycle starts all over again. My little girl is getting no attention at all at the moment and I am like a walking zombie so I really hope this pattern doesn’t last too much longer. I know it’s always crazy at the start with newborns. I guess at the time it just feels like forever but it really won’t last too long in the grand scheme of things.
Thankfully my husband has taken 1 day off work for the next couple of months so he’s taken my little girl to the park and my baby will hopefully stay asleep long enough for me to get this post written.
Can you guest post for Green Thickies?
I’m also grateful for the great guest posts that I’ve been given to help see me through this time. I am getting around to replying to everyone slowly so please bear with me. If you are a blogger who loves adding greens to your food then feel free to send me a guest post to greenthickies at gmail.com. I am looking for blended recipes that include leafy greens and healthy ingredients. Thank you!

During all these slow feeds loads of ideas for my blog have been circulating around my head. It’s frustrating not to be able to do much work at the moment but watch this space in the future as I’ve got so many fun ideas that you will hopefully love.
In the meantime check out all these fabulous vegan recipes and articles and the highlights from last week.
Healthy Vegan Fridays is a weekly blog hop hosted by myself, Carrie @ Carrie on Vegan, and Gabby @ The Veggie Nook. It is a place to share your healthy vegan recipes that make use of whole ingredients and minimize the use of processed and refined foods.

Most Popular Submissions
1: Raw Oreo Cookies

Oh wow! How I wish I had more time for food preparation so I could try things like this!
2: WHAT ABOUT EGGS?
blog.myhealthychef.net
What to do when a vegan gets cravings for eggs? I could write a whole blog post about this! An interesting debate.
3: Kale Granola (or Raw Coconut Almond Kale Chips)
tastespace.wordpress.com
Oh yum! This looks like my kind of food. I’ve actually not made kale chips for a long time and this will be one of the first things I’ll make when I get some time back!
My Favourites from Last Week
PEACH PIE GRANOLA!
detachedandconnected.tumblr.com
I usually feature recipes that I either intend to make or would make if I had more time using easy to find healthy ingredients. I do intend to make this one and use it to top my green smoothies with in my quest to get healthier.
Not-your-average Fruit Salad
helloveggy.com
With my limited time I usually make a big batch of salad and a big batch of fruit salad to last a good few days. I always add fruit to my savoury salad but why not the other way around and combine the two? Look how colourful this looks! What a great idea.
Non-Salad Days for Great Salads!
stuffedveggies.blogspot.co.uk
And to continue my salad theme, I really needed some more ideas than just lettuce, cucumber and tomato as I’ve suffering from a serious case of baby brain. I love the idea of making batches of salad.

Hi Katherine,I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.
I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!
I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!
I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.
I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.
I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.
I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!
What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.
I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan! Thankful Stephanie

Good Morning! Finances seem to always be tight, but I think we all agree that nutrition shouldn’t suffer. Today I’m sharing a post on how to grind flour without a grain mill. Plus, an excellent sourdough bread recipe that’s perfect for beginning sourdough bakers! As always, thanks for hosting! ~Tiffany
