Peachy Pail: Peach Smoothie Recipe
(Green Smoothie)
This Peach smoothie recipe is a traditional green smoothie (a thinnie). What I call a snack really as it’s not intended to fill you up for long, only to provide an injection of nutrients straight into your body.
A Green Thinnie for you to snack on
I like to keep my recipes for green thinnies really simple as I believe snacks should be quick and simple, and meals (green thickies) should be filling and contain a few more ingredients.
Peach Smoothie Recipe with optional added leafy greens
This peach smoothie is a lovely simple recipe and still seasonal at least in this part of the world. But the weather here in the UK is getting colder and we’re moving into autumn now so I’ll be bringing you some lovely colourful and warming green thickies as we go into autumn. I will really miss summer fruits though. I’ve been especially loving peaches, cherries and melon this summer. Strawberries have doubled in price due to the bad weather so I’ve not had as many of those as I would normally but I’ve discovered I can now get hold of frozen strawberries so I’m glad they will see me through the winter too. Frozen fruit here is often much cheaper than fresh food which is great as it’s already pre-chopped and frozen and all you need to do is chuck it straight in the blender. What could be better than that?
This peach smoothie recipe contains celery which is a great source of natural sodium. However if like me you can’t imagine a green smoothie without leafy greens, then feel free to add a good couple of handfuls of spinach or your favourite mild greens.

Green Smoothie Challenges
Don’t forget to have a look at my latest posts, my experiment with a 7 day green thickie challenge. You can read the first post here and I’ve just published my end of week results here where you can find out how I managed to lose 5 pounds and dross a dress size by not counting calories or feeling at all hungry all week long.
I’ve got so used to drinking green smoothies that I’m going to continue drinking them for breakfast and lunch as I just feel so much better while I’m drinking them.
If you want to join another green smoothie challenge, you can find a great one at this blog, and I’ll also be inviting you to start your own green thickie challenge next week so make sure you come back for that.
Wow that was the shortest post in the world for me, usually I write far too much!

Hi Katherine,I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.
I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!
I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!
I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.
I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.
I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.
I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!
What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.
I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan! Thankful Stephanie
