My daughter started school recently and I told you a little while ago I was now working part time. Well, it didn’t quite work out being part time. I just had too much work to do to run my business so I had to find a way to still get my work done and be able to pick up my daughter after school at 3pm.
So I started getting up at 4am. I now go to bed earlier to make sure I get enough sleep.
I actually really love it. I work for 3 hours in the morning before the world is awake and I’ve never been so productive. I don’t check my emails, Facebook or text messages. I leave my phone on airplane mode, fire up my computer and get to work.
Then I get my kids ready for nursery and school and drop them off. When I get back at 9am I do my workout and yoga then. And I actually relax and enjoy it a lot more knowing I’ve already achieved a lot at work, and I’m no longer itching to start work, which is how I used to feel when I did my workout first in the morning.

How a mirror can help you lose weight
So, what have mirrors got to do with weight loss?
If you’re bored of conventional methods of losing weight, I thought I’d bring you something a bit more fun today.
Today I’m sharing a weird way to lose weight using a mirror.
During a recent study, researchers found that if we watch ourselves eat, we are much more likely to eat less food. During the experiments, a mirror was placed in front of some participants when they ate, and they ate a loss less that usual.
They believed it was because when we watch ourselves eat, we are much more aware of our bodies and can’t get away with watching ourselves overeat.
Pretty fascinating isn’t it?
It is so easy to opt for the TV dinner and eat our way into obesity. I believe it’s because we don’t even notice what we’re eating, how much, we don’t notice when we are full, we forget we even exist as we’ve been transported into the land of the TV. Sometimes we wake up and can’t even believe we ate so much the night before.
So let’s start eating more consciously shall we?
I used to eat a lot of food in front of the TV, but now that we are eating together as a family every single day, I have found myself eating less food, and actually leaving food on my plate, where as I used to finish everything on my plate previously.
