Today I’m going to tell you something I’ve never shared with anyone before.
I’m going to share the secret to motivating yourself to actually stick with a diet long enough to get the results you want and reach your ideal weight.
Did you know that most people will give up on a new diet after just 5 weeks? If you only have a few pounds to lose, this might work for you, but I had 56 pounds to lose. So I needed to figure out a way to be strong enough to stick with the diet long enough to reach my ideal weight.
Thankfully I figured out how to change my pattern of thinking to make it easy to stick to my diet, lose the weight and keep it off.
I’m also going to be sharing how to lose weight naturally. This means choosing healthy foods to eat that leave you feeling strong and satisfied, rather than weak and exhausted. Choosing the right foods means you can easily continue with the same type of diet even after you’ve lost all the weight. This is not about going on some crazy crash diet that will leave you depleted and deprived.

Why Most Diets Fail Within 5 Weeks
First of all, let’s talk about all the different diets out there. How can you know which is better? Which one will actually help you lose all the fat you want, and keep it off?
I do believe that most diets will help you shed weight if you stick with them long enough….
But there’s the problem right there…
Most people can’t stick to a diet long enough to reach their ideal weight.
Most people will stick to a diet for up to 5 weeks before they quit. This might be just long enough to drop one dress size, certainly not 5 dress sizes like I did.

I’ve been there myself. I only lasted a couple of weeks with most faddy diets that I followed specifically for weight loss.
That’s because my hunger levels were high, cravings were off the charts, I was super tired, and therefore my willpower was just on the floor.
I was offered a cake, and I caved in. I took the cake, and another and another. And the diet was a failure. On to the next diet. And I decided to start that new diet the following Monday so that gives me a licence to keep right on shoveling in those cakes. And whoops, I now have more weight to lose than I started with!

- I can focus and concentrate on my work and help more people
- I feel happier and enjoy the simple things in life much more
- I am more motivated to spend time in the kitchen preparing the healthy food that continues to give me these results
- I am able to reach my ideal weight, and stay there
- I am excited to do exercise as I have so much energy to burn
- Because of my slimmer body, I have way more confidence which leads to more opportunities for success and enjoyment in life
I could probably go on and on but you get the point…
I have way more reasons to motivate myself to be healthier which also does include being slimmer.
So that’s why I think choosing a new diet for health reasons rather than purely just to lose a few pounds, is so much more effective in both the short term and the long term.
How To Lose Weight Naturally And Stick With It
And when it comes to choosing a healthy diet, first of all you need to believe that it is going to give you all of the above benefits.
And secondly, you need to see the proof that you are getting more benefits when you actually begin the diet.
This is why I managed to stay the course and lose the 56 pounds to reach my ideal weight, because I saw the evidence in my own health within days of starting the new diet. I saw the number on the scales dropping, yes, but I also had more energy, was feeling lighter, happier, better digestion and many other things that I noticed.
I didn’t want to quit my diet because I was feeling so good about myself. I also felt completely satisfied, not hungry and my cravings were so low that I did have the willpower to say no to the cakes. I was proud of myself which motivated me to continue on with the healthy diet.

So now you may be asking what diet did I follow?
