This autumnal pear and apple smoothie is delicately seasoned with cardamon to give it a beautifully rounded taste.
If you are a regular follower of my blog, you may have noticed my recipe posts getting shorter and shorter.
There is a reason for this as things in my personal life have got a bit crazy lately.
I will share everything with you eventually and get back to my more informative blog posts, but in the meantime, I’m dedicating what little time I have to provide you with regular recipes even if they don’t have lengthy descriptions and when I have more time, some helpful articles that I hope you will enjoy.
For the same reason, I’m also a little (OK very) slow at responding to my emails, comments, facebook and twitter comments.
** Please note that this post may contain affiliate links which means that I can receive a small payment if you make a purchase through my links.
I do eventually aim to reply to all my messages so please bear with me here too and thank you so much for all your amazing feedback and comments. It really does make this all worthwhile.
So on that note, I bring you another delectable pear smoothie.
Pear, Cardamon And Apple Smoothie
I usually say it’s better to make your own fresh juice rather than buy store bought juice.
The juice you buy in the shops doesn’t really have any nutrients so there’s no point in drinking bucket loads of it thinking you are getting your fruit quota. You’re not!
But on the other hand, if you’re already making a healthy fresh fruit smoothie, there’s no harm in adding in some shop bought juice to save you some time.
Let’s face it, most of us don’t have a lot of time. I don’t own a juicer and if I did, I would never have the time to make juice for my smoothies or the space on my kitchen counters for that matter.
I do however make my own orange juice as my citrus juicer is small and I adore freshly squeezed orange juice. It’s a million miles away from shop bought juice.
Anyway, this smoothie is all about the pears and apples, no citrus in sight.
For the cardamon, I opened up one cardamon pod and scooped out the seeds with my finger to add to the smoothie. If you are using [amazon_textlink asin=’B009AEEAJE’ text=’ground cardamon’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’greethic-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’758c8d59-9f6e-435d-84d8-977c063c574e’], just add a pinch or to taste.

- Blend the ingredients in the order listed. If you are making a green smoothie blend the greens and liquid first and then blend the rest of the ingredients. This creates more space in your blender. Add more water if required to thin it out. Substitute any of the ingredients for whatever you already have. If your smoothie is too warm, you can cool it down in the fridge or freeze some of your ingredients before blending. It is better to add frozen ingredients at the end to cool the smoothie down.
- NOTE: The calories shown are for half of the fruit smoothie ingredients listed as this smoothie serves 2.

Get results like this...
Hi Katherine,I just wanted to tell you I completed the 7 day detox and I feel so great.
I have lost 6lbs, do not feel like I need more my morning coffee, the flushing of my facial skin from rosacea has dramatically reduced and I am so excited to wake up each morning and make a green thickie for breakfast!!
I am a stay at-home, homeschooling momma of 3 littles and at times so busy I would forget to feed myself!
I would go most of the day without eating and then snack on random things.
I gained 60 pounds the last 6 years during pregnancy.
I have lost 30lbs but recently plateaued and have felt so frustrated.
I’ve tried everything from paleo and keto to the point where I didn’t know what to eat or how much and felt like even eating fruit was bad for me which thankfully it’s not!
What a game changer for me. Thank you for sharing a simple but effective program.
I’m so excited to continue another week with this plan! Thankful Stephanie
