2 Ways To Get Chores Done With A Spring In Your Step

Let’s face it, chores are boring, repetitive and tiring. Yet there is an easy way to breeze through them with a spring in your step.

My chores are pretty similar every day. I spend just 1-2 hours in the kitchen every day. During that time I make 2 large batches of Green Thickies for the next day, make a healthy dinner from scratch, make a snack box for my daughter and a lunch for my husband for the next day. I tidy the kitchen and unload and load my dishwasher (best Christmas gift I ever bought myself!).  

I can’t say I find these repetitive chores ‘fun’ but I have found some unique ways to be able to enjoy them.

I have personally learned two methods of getting through my chores with a spring in my step:

  1. Eat the right foods. As Kim said, a bit of Green Thickie power helps you tear round the house at lightning speed while you tidy, clean and iron. There is no dragging while Green Thickies are being consumed.
  2. I find something that I’m really interested in such as a podcast that helps me learn a new skill. I listen to these podcasts while I do my boring chores each day. This way I actually end up looking forward to them rather than dreading them. I see chores time as ‘me’ time now. It’s the time where I get to learn something exciting, or something to improve my life in some way, usually either health related or business, but I do go through periods of learning Spanish too, which is a lot of fun!
