If you are new to green smoothies – this is a great recipe to start with because it’s just so addictively delicious. And I promise you can’t taste the greens, just a heavenly sweet and intensely tropical taste.
I love making this fantastically refreshing smoothie for my breakfast when I have a busy day ahead of me.
It takes literally one minute to make in my Blentec blender and I know that when I turn this into a Green Thickie and have it for breakfast, I’ve had a good portion of healthy foods to see me through until lunch.

The chia seeds contain protein and are great for keeping you hydrated. The Pineapple contains a compound called bromelain which not only enhances immune function but also prevents cancer, improves gut health and promotes healing. Mango also is extremely beneficial to health, antioxidants found in it have been shown to prevent against leukemia as well as breast, prostate and colon cancers.
Healthy Start Complete Meal Green Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 oz water
- 1 tbsp chia seeds Fibre, Omega 3 fats and Protein
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or your choice of sweetener, optional
- 1 banana Fiber, Potassium, Vitamin A
- 1 ½ cups kale Aids digestion, full of vitamins, Magnesium and Folate
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks Vitamin c, Bromelain
- ¾ cup frozen mango chunks Antioxidants, Vitamins
- 1 cup ice cubes
- To turn this into a Green Thickie complete meal green smoothie add 1 filler
Instructions
