Here are all my favorite smoothie storage solutions for your blended smoothie AND to keep your smoothie equipment and ingredients organized and handy.
I have been making daily smoothies for me and my family for over 10 years now. I replace 2 of my meals with a complete meal smoothie, and my kids and husband usually just have a healthy meal replacement shake for breakfast.
One of the main reasons I drink smoothies is to stay healthy while saving time in the kitchen.
So naturally, keeping my kitchen organized for the art of smoothie making just makes a lot of sense.

In this post, I’m going to share all of my organization hacks with you.
I’ll show you which containers I use to store my finished smoothie in the fridge and freezer, and also how I keep my kitchen cupboards and drawers organized with ingredients and utensils so I can quickly grab what I need and not spend half an hour looking for things.
How To Organize Your Smoothie Equipment In Your Kitchen For Easy Smoothie Prep
Here are all the smoothie tools I use and where I store them in my kitchen.
1) Blender
I keep 2 blenders out on my kitchen worktops at all times. You can’t make a smoothie without a blender, so this item is essential.
If you store your blender away in a cupboard, nine times out of ten, it will get buried and you’ll forget it’s even there.
Healthy habit rule number one: Always keep items you use daily seconds away from you at all times.
The two blenders I use daily are my Vitamix and my Blendtec.
I have the Twister Jar for the Blendtec as well as the large jug so I have 2 blender jars sat out on my surface. I store the small Twister Jar behind my air fryer which is also next to my blenders.

2) Chopping Board
I have a variety of wooden chopping boards in my kitchen for different reasons.
I don’t have any meat or gluten in my home so I don’t have to worry about any cross-contamination (I have celiac disease and I am a vegan), but I still like to have different chopping boards for different reasons.
I have 2 cutting boards for vegetables, and 2 cutting boards for fruit.
Have you ever tasted onion flavored watermelon? I have and it’s not my favorite food combo, so for that reason, I keep all sweet flavors to the same chopping board.
I also like to have a variety of large and small boards depending on the quantity of food I am cutting. If I’m just slicing 1 lemon, I don’t want to have to wash a massive big board. Believe it or not, that is enough to put me off using the lemon at all.
So tiny little boards are also a must-have in my kitchen.
I keep all of my boards out on my work surfaces at all times. I stand these up leaning against a wall between my water filter and a wall to keep them upright on their sides. This way it saves space.
This is one of my favorite chopping boards because of its rustic look.
That reminds me, let’s move on to my water filter now.
3) Water Filter
I almost forgot to mention this, but it is a product I use for all of my smoothie makings and I use this brand because you don’t have to fill it up so often and it has a tap which makes it easy to add the water to my blender.
I store this water filter close to my sink, next to the wall and next to the kettle. Sometimes I add boiling water to my smoothies to melt my frozen spinach quickly and I add filtered water to the kettle before boiling it.

4) Citrus Press
This is another item I have out on my countertop at all times otherwise I’d forget I had it.
This manual juicer makes it super fast to squeeze a good amount of orange juice to use for smoothie bases, and the clean up is really easy too.

5) Knife Block
I use a lot of knives as I eat a lot of fruit and veggies. I was struggling to store them all in a traditional knife block until I found the perfect solution.
This knife block doesn’t have slots so you can put the knives where you choose and you can cram in so many more knives this way. Plus it doesn’t take up much space.

I store my knife block right next to my blenders for easy access as this is where I do my chopping.
Although if I had to buy a different one, I’d get this one because it’s much prettier.
6) Kitchen Scales
Although none of my recipes provide weights, they are all in cup measurements because I find this is the easiest way to measure smoothie ingredients, I do sometimes weigh my food for my smoothies.
I calculate all of my nutrients per day to make sure my diet is nutritionally complete, so I like to be sure of the quantities I’m eating and no make guesses.
I mainly use frozen spinach in my smoothies which comes in big blocks and it doesn’t fit very well into a measuring cup, so there is no way to measure this using a cup.
I know that I want to eat 500g/ 17oz of spinach per day which covers a massive chunk of my nutrition.
This amount of spinach gives me ALL of my folate, vitamin A, vitamin C, magnesium, manganese, vitamin K, 20% of my protein, half of my calcium, most of my B vitamins, Vitamin E, other minerals and half of my Omega 3s for the entire day!
My health has soared since I started adding this amount of greens to my diet each day. If I don’t measure it, I’d guess way too little, as this is a LOT of spinach.
I love these scales as I can choose to defrost my frozen ingredients in the bowl if I’m organized enough, or I can just sit my blender on top of the scales, pour in my boiling water and measure my spinach weight.

7) Measuring Cups Drawer
I dedicate an entire drawer just to measuring cups.
For those who make all your meals from scratch as I do, you can never have enough measuring cups! I like to do a lot of healthy batches in one day and I can go through about 20 teaspoons in one day. They are really cheap, so I just prefer to have lots.
I store these in my top drawer which is closest to my blenders.
8) Smoothie Utensils And Fruit Tools Drawer
I have another drawer dedicated to all of my cool fruit tools and gadgets that I use when I’m preparing fruit like my strawberry huller, my fruit scooper, and a mango slicer.
This drawer is also close to my blender.

9) Smoothie Utensils Caddy
I also use a utensils caddy that sits out on my countertop near my blenders at all times.
This is a convenient utensil caddy you can even take out with you on picnics.
I store bigger items in here like wooden spoons and spatulas that I use for scraping-out ingredients from my kitchen scales to my blender.
I like these wooden spoons because the long handle allows me to easily scoop out food without getting my hands dirty.
10) Smoothie Containers And Straws Shelf
I have a shelving unit dedicated to all of my various smoothie containers. Bear in mind that smoothies are my business, so I would naturally have more of these than most people.
I like to try out different containers and I buy more of the ones I like the best.
On these shelves, I have all of my plastic smoothie cups, bottles, tumblers and containers. All of these containers allow one person to drink their smoothie on the go.
I also have some large plastic containers for storing big batches of smoothie in the fridge.
My shelf also contains all my glass containers, all my pretty mason jars that I mainly use for photos.
I also have a large collection of these reusable straws on this shelf and non-spillable lids to put over cups for the kids.

How To Organize Your Smoothie Ingredients In Your Kitchen For Easy Smoothie Prep
Now we’ve identified all the equipment I use, let’s move on to the smoothie ingredients storage.
For this, I’ve set up several different smoothie stations in my kitchen.
1) Dry Smoothie Ingredients Basket
This is my first and favorite smoothie station. Check it out here!
Every time I make a smoothie, I get down my wicker basket from my smoothie ingredients cupboard which contains all of my most used smoothie ingredients. In this basket, I have these mason jars containing dry ingredients.
For the mason jars, I purchased these separate plastic mason jar lids as I prefer these to the metal lids which often seem to rust.
I also bought some of these pretty chalkboard stickers and chalk pens to label my jars so I can identify my ingredients quickly.
In my smoothie basket, I have cinnamon powder, carob powder, brazil nuts, pecan nuts, flaxseed, dried coconut, almond extract, vanilla extract and my own homemade smoothie mix powder which is a combination of many smoothie spices and superfoods. That way I don’t have to add millions of different ingredients to each smoothie, but I know I’m getting a big burst of different nutrients from 1 teaspoon of my smoothie powder.
I also have this orange essential oil which I add to almost every smoothie. More about this below.
This basket is the biggest time saver for me. I couldn’t stand having to find a million different plastic packets, open them, spill the ingredients all over the place only for a teaspoon.
This basket allows me to add these ingredients in seconds to my smoothies.

2) Dry Smoothie Ingredients Cupboard
I use a lot more different smoothie ingredients than just the ingredients in my smoothie basket.
I keep all of my nuts, seeds, superfoods, dried fruit, powders, green powders, coconut, herbs and spices and other dried ingredients in jars that have pretty labels.
I keep all of my jars in a cupboard and keep the jars I use most often at the front.
I like to use these jars so that I can stack them on top of each other.
3) Smoothie Ingredients Freezer Drawer
I have two freezers in my home, a chest freezer in my garage that has many bags of spare spinach, frozen fruit and edamame beans which are the main frozen ingredients in my smoothies.
I dedicate 2 freezer drawers inside my kitchen to storing smoothie ingredients.
I find using frozen ingredients for my smoothies the cheapest and easiest way to guarantee you always have smoothie ingredients available for your smoothies. It is also a good way to cool your smoothie down, but living in a cold place, I tend to warm mine up!
I also store turmeric root and frozen ginger in my freezer for use in my smoothies.
Sometimes, I even blend up smoothies and freeze them for later, and making popsicles from smoothies is also fun. I like to use silicone popsicle molds like these for that since I don’t have to grease them to out the pops.
I like to use freezer baskets for organizing my freezer along with reusable freezer bags for storing ingredients and smoothies in.

4) Edible Essential Oils Rack
As I mentioned earlier, I love to use food-grade essential oils in my smoothies. I love the orange which is a great way to sweeten smoothies without any sweetener.
I have so many oils all over my house, but I have a small essential oils rack and keep on my kitchen window sill just for my edible essential oils such as orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime, cinnamon, ginger, lemongrass, peppermint, and some others.
This is the essential oils rack that I actually use to keep store my essential oils in.
If you’re going to use essential oils in your food, make sure it is food grade as fragrance oils are not to be eaten and can be harmful to health.

5) Smoothie Fridge Organization
In my fridge, I have drawers and racks for organizing my smoothie ingredients such as fresh fruit including blueberries, strawberries, lemons, ginger, and leafy greens.
I store my pre-made smoothies in the door of my fridge in smoothie bottles like these or in large storage containers such as these ones as mentioned earlier.
I store my smoothies for up to 3 days.

6) Fruit Organization
I do have a variety of pretty fruit bowls in my home to store fruit, but I have that much fruit in my home at any one time, that I’ve now dedicated my sideboard in my dining room to fruit storage, and even then it spills out on to the window ledge.
I store about 100 bananas each week out on the surface and I transfer them to either the fridge or freezer when they are feeling a bit soft.
I also store other fruit out on the surface, like apples, tangerines, pears, watermelons, etc.
This is one fruit bowl that I really like.
