We hear so much hype about protein powders out there, and for one main reason…
People make a lot of money from them.

I could recommend a product right now and make a lot of money from it, but I need to stay true to my beliefs and my values. The only reason I started this blog is to help people experience the best health they possibly can.
So for that reason I’d never knowingly recommend something I didn’t think was good for you.
The truth is, we really don’t need protein powder because we can get all of the protein we need from whole foods.
Those who do more exercise than the general population need higher protein in their diets, so if this is you, this post is going to help.

Four of the smoothies are mine. They are both green of course because I do believe that Popeye had it right all along when he said greens make you strong. I was going to include more smoothies from other people – but if truth be told, there aren’t that many natural vegan protein smoothies out there. That’s the reason I invented the Green Thickie in the first place and make sure I add a protein source to all of my Green Thickie recipes.
