Do you love sweet juicy luscious mango, but you’re not sure how to cut it yourself? In today’s video, I show you how to cut a mango (the fast and easy way).
Today I am going to show you how to cut a mango, and I’m going to show you one very fast and easy method that you can start using straight away to get those mango’s cut.
What you do first is cut the cheeks off. Then slice checkerboards in the mango slice you just cut off.

To create the checkerboard effect what you do is slice lengthways one way, and then horizontally the next way making sure you don’t go through the skin at the bottom. And then when it’s all cut you can just use your thumbs and fingers to press underneath slice and push the flesh upwards.
This gives a beautiful checkerboard-like look.
And you can serve it like that, or you can actually cut off the squares pieces of mango into a bowl.
To remove the pieces from this checkerboard-style mango cheek, all you do is you push with your knife along the bottom of the mango and get all the pieces of mango off like that. It couldn’t be easier!

Cutting the Sides of the Mango
After you’ve cut off the cheeks, to cut the sides of the mango there are two ways to do that.
First, you can slice off all of the flesh with the skin on by running the knife close to the seed. Now what you can do is either remove the skin by running your knife along its length and then cut the remaining flesh into pieces.
Or you can make cuts into the flesh while it is with the skin on, and then slice along the skin to remove the mango straight off as pieces.
The next way is to just slice off the skin while it’s still attached to the seed, then discard the skin, and then cut off the flesh.
Now you’ve got the piece of flesh without any skin on. So now you can cut that into desired pieces.
It doesn’t matter which method you use, they both lead to the same outcome.
Make sure you get all the flesh off, so you don’t waste any, or you can simply eat the remaining bits of flesh from the seed with your mouth and bite it all of that way.
